Information which should be included in your project outline

  1. How long have you been in business?
  2. What resources (for example: labour, materials, machinery, accommodation, money) have you committed to the business? What proportions are obtained locally?
  3. What are the main characteristics of your business from a development viewpoint? For example:
    • conservation of natural resources
    • social development
    • economic development
    • education and training
    • improvement of infrastructure, for example: transport, communications, and community services
  4. What did you hope to achieve when you started the business?
  5. How far do you think you have come in achieving your short and long-term goals? And how do you think your projects fits in with the criteria?
  6. Are you able to supply a description of your business that shows how your organisation works and will expand?
  7. Can you supply accounts (preferably audited) that demonstrate the business’s sources of income?
  8. What are your future plans? Have you considered how to ensure the continuation of the business should you wish to withdraw?
  9. What is the degree of staff involvement and training?
  10. What are the demonstrable outcomes of your project for your organisation and for the community?
