St Lucia –
Activities (Rainforest Walk)
|
- The national bird of St
Lucia is a parrot. We have two different
drawings you can print out and let your pupils
colour in. One drawing is of a flying
parrot and the other
is of a parrot
sitting on a
branch.
(There is a brief description of the parrot in
the ‘Parrots
and Herons‘ page of
‘Rainforest Walk”.)
- Ask your pupils to design a
colourful poster to illustrate the following
slogan:
- “Wherever you go – take
nothing but photographs, leave nothing but
footsteps, kill nothing but time.”
- Print enough copies of the
blank outline
map of St Lucia for
your class. Using a St Lucia mapsheet
to guide them, or better still a St Lucia
Mapcard, pupils should mark the following towns,
villages and rivers on their outline maps.
- (a)
towns
|
(b) villages
|
(c) rivers
