Education Forum (26-28 April 2000): Ten years after the 1990
World Conference on Education for All, national leaders, UN officials,
educational policy makers and other concerned parties have met
in Dakar, Senegal in an attempt to establish educational concerns
at the core of development and to discuss how to reach the goal

Development Institute: The ODI has begun a series of meetings
focusing on ‘The Agenda for Global Institutional Reform: Next
Steps for Developing Countries’. The meetings which remain will
tackle the following themes:

citizenship in the 21st century: What can business do for peace
and sustainable development?: 2-5 May 2000. A public forum
is to be held on 2 May between 6-9pm and a residential forum will

Development Committee: A report on Mozambique based on the
evidence collected during the Committee’s visit from 20-24 February
2000 and on the evidence given by key figures involved in the
