activity which has contributed to viable economic development in
a community.

and social development through the provision of appropriate, sustainable

Language Skills
Will
be given for the effective transfer of English language skills and
knowledge which directly contribute to sustainable development.

The DTI Award for Capacity Building in the Commonwealth
Will
be given to a company or organisation which has established sustainable
processes which spread and deepen practical understanding of the
global trading system in developing Commonwealth countries, particularly
where this fosters co-operation between the public and private sectors.

Will
be given to a company or organisation which has developed an innovative
idea in, for example, medicine, technology, education or finance,
with the proven potential to make a significant contribution to

Will
be given to a non-profitmaking organisation which has promoted sustainable
economic development in poor communities in the developing world
