This information should be included in your project outline:

  • How long have you been in business?

  • What resources (for example: labour, materials, machinery, accomodation, money) have you commited to the business?
    What proportions are obtained locally?

  • What are the main characteristics of your business from a development viewpoint? For example:
    • conservation of natural resources
    • social development
    • economic development
    • education and training
    • improvement of infrastructure, for example: transport, communications, community services

  • What did you hope to achieve when you started the business?

  • How far do you think you have come in achieving your short and long term goals?
    Does the business have a finite lifespan?

  • Are you able to supply a business plan and description of your business that shows how your organisation works and will expand?

  • Can you supply accounts (preferably audited) that demonstrate the business’ sources of income?

  • What are your future plans? Have you considered how to ensure the continuation of the business should you wish to withdraw?

  • What is the degree of staff involvement and training?

  • What are the demonstrable outcomes of your project for your organisation and for the community?
