How the Scheme Works

The focus for the scheme are the countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

All Award entries are first considered by a Panel of Assessors and the views of independent referees obtained. The Assessors then produce a short-list for the Judges. The Judges then make the final decision on the Award Winners. All short-listed entries are described in the Awards Brochure which is widely distributed among the business and diplomatic communities.

In January 2000 at a ceremony in London the Award Winners receive a trophy designed by Kenneth Grange. They are also entitled to use an Award logo in their future publicity material.
